Yes, We're Going Back to Iraq

Not today, not tomorrow... but probably sooner rather than later.

Here's a little refresher course...

-On August 2, 1990 Iraq invaded Kuwait.

-In February of 1991 a U.S. lead force liberated Kuwait, driving out Iraq military.

-Contemporaneous to the Kuwait liberation, and at the request of the Saudi Royal Family, the U.S. established a sizable military presence in Saudi Arabia.  This was to deter potential future aggression from Iraq.

We left an unstable and vulnerable Iraq because it was thought to be politically expedient.
